My Background
I devoured newspaper comics as a kid. What could be better than captivating drawings and witty storylines? At the age of 7, I knew nothing could be better, or funnier, and I vowed then and there to become a cartoonist. And I did!
My Beginnings
It's no wonder that my career began in newspapers. I spent twelve years working as a graphic artist and illustrator in places as disparate as Chicago, Atlanta, and Jackson, Miss., all along filing away characters and their stories.
My Inspiration
My Inspiration
I now spend my time making comics and graphic novels for kids using all of the stories I've saved along the way. They range from talking toads to dapper dogs. I especially love to draw animals wearing human clothes and doing human things.
